Wow! The video quality is amazing. My first flight I had it just continually record video, and upon reviewing the video later I was blown away by how smooth and clear it came out. I previously had an x-star premium, and the video jiggled and occasionally you could see the propellors, but with the zv1-728 it’s just perfect video. I don’t know why they bothered to put a pause button on the controller, because if I release the joysticks it hangs in position as though it was nailed to the sky! Homing feature worked like a charm. No calibration necessary. Amazing battery life!
I bought this for my husbands birthday! He was completely over joyed to have this particular Drone. It was pricey but worth it! A soon as it arrived he had the batteries on charge and in no time it was in the air. I must admit that this Drone is pretty cool! It’s pretty neat to see this thing take off and hover and the camera recording is rather surprising how clear the video clips came out. Now if the wind would stop blowing so hard we want to take it out to the mountains and record some scenic areas.
Before I purchase the zv1-728, I watched hundreds of drone review videos. I choose the zv1-728 because it is simply the best drone for the money. The camera is amazing! The battery life is fantastic! It’s easy to fly and will give you great videos right out of the box. If need be you can swap the camera to one with a Thermal Image Using the Live Deck you can broadcast video images to a satellite location within a few miles away from the point of the controller. There is a wide range of camera settings within the App that allows you to change settings such as the ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed, 1X – 8X Digital Zoom, Color, Multiple Resolutions, Frame Rate, WB, Auto Photo while videoing. FYI – Gimble Tilt is a thing of the past as Autel has updated the app with an extra Gimble adjustment setting. As updates become available I have seen a few more Flight Modes and a couple of tweaks to others.
I purchased this drone because I liked that it could be flown anywhere without restrictions. This was very important to me because I was considering this product for work and wanted to see how it stood up against what we currently had.
For starters, it delivered on its promise to fly anywhere without geofencing restrictions. The next thing that was great was the ease of use. The controls are intuitive and simple. You can just link up a cellphone to the remote control dock and fly the drone. The picture quality is great and video is fantastic too.
The battery life in operation is standard; about 40 minutes flight time or 30 minutes under windy conditions. My only gripe is that the battery depletes quickly (about 50%) just sitting in the case over the course of a week.
Overall though this drone is a good buy. It’s performed so well that I am trying to get a few more scheduled in the budget for work.
